Palestinians Retaliate against Zionist Attacks on Gaza
Baheth Center; July 28, 2012
Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip have fired a rocket on the southern region of Eshkol to retaliate against the Zionist strikes on the besieged enclave.
Gazan resistance fighters conducted the attack on the southern region of the occupied territories on Friday.
At least 19 Palestinians were killed and 70 others wounded in more than 58 Zionist attacks on the blockaded strip in June, according to the Palestinian officials.
The Zionist military frequently attacks the Gaza Strip, saying the actions are being conducted for defensive purposes. However, disproportionate force is always used, in violation of international law, and civilians are often killed or injured.
In addition to airstrikes and ground attacks, the regime of occupation also denies about 1.7 million people in Gaza their basic rights, including the freedom of movement and the right to decent living, work, health and education.
Gaza has been blockaded since 2007, a situation that has caused a decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment, and unrelenting poverty.
